When she was working as an OFW in France, Azenith Soriano Antonio-Umipig used to make chili oil for her husband. She returned in the Philippines for a holiday… and then Covid-19 happened. Unemployed, she came up with this idea to improve her recipe and decide to start a business with chili garlic oil as the primary product.

Welcome Zen’s Chili Garlic.

What makes her offerings different from those already offered in the market? That is: What makes her offerings special compared to others?

“I take pride in my homemade recipes. We tried our best to level-up the ordinary chili garlic oil, making sure that it is not just the usual product that we see in the market because I am well aware about the competition in the current market,” Zen said.

They also made the packaging aesthetically pleasing since “we are promoting mainly in social media platforms and we are eco-friendly. We try as much as possible to reduce plastic waste. We are using glass jars for our packaging,” Zen said.

There are two variants of the chili garlic oil – the original and honey blend.

“But consumers seem to be more fond of our honey variant maybe because it’s new and not the usually spicy garlic sauce that we see in the market,” Zen said.

Each cost PhP120 per 200 ml bottle.

These are not only condiments; but good food on their own.
